The classic style of a solid timber floor is virtually fashion-proof. A polished timber floor will look as stylish in 20 years' time as it does today.

Raw solid timber however is the most traditional floor coverings throughout the history. The board itself does not have any varnish on it after installation. This makes the customisation of the floor colour and appearance possible for you during the final sanding and varnishing process. Compared to prefinished solid timber, raw solid timber not only has a broader range of timber species to choose from, but you may also select the grade and size of the timber.

For each species, there are two sizes 80x19mm and 130x19mm (except Cypress Pine and American White Oak) to choose from. And within each size, three different grades are available.

Select Grade: The Features that are present in Select grade flooring are relatively small and few in number, and although they are visible, the features do not dominate the appearance of the floor.

Standard Grade (Medium Feature): Flooring in this grade will be moderately featured. Gum veins, gum pockets,
insect trails, burls and borer holes, are some of the characteristic’s that will be more prevalent in Standard Grade.

Feature Grade (High Feature): Feature grade flooring is heavily peppered with natural features particularly large gum veins.
